The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Children's Religious Formation The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children that is based on the conviction that God and the Child are in relationship. Our role as adults is to protect and nurture this bond. In the Catechesis we present age-appropriate themes from the Bible and our liturgy with manipulative materials the children use to internalize and ponder the great mysteries of our faith.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Ministry

The RCIA Ministry is a team of ordinary parishioners who give their time to assist those seeking information about the Catholic Church and becoming a Catholic. We receive enquirers who are not baptized or who are baptized in another Christian denomination. Enquirers who wish to continue and to learn more are lead through a process of formation in the Catholic faith. As they continue in their journey of faith they participate in the Rites of the Church which welcome them into the church and prepare them to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) at Easter Vigil. You may have seen these Rites particularly during Lent when three separate Scrutiny Rites are held at Sunday Masses.

It is a joyful process to walk with these candidates as they journey in faith toward our Lord and to full communion with the Church at Easter.
