Couples for Christ is a united global charismatic community of family evangelizers that sets the world on fire with the fullness of God’s transforming love. Husbands and wives commit to work tirelessly for the renewal of families that will serve God and build generations of Christian leaders and pursue total Christian liberation through social justice, respect for life, and work with the poor.
Rooted in the Sacraments, members strive to build the church of the home and the church of the poor through our family ministries, advocacies, and programs. Couples are also invited to build community with other couples in the area by joining “household groups” that meet regularly for times of prayer and fellowship. Conferences and other diocesan-wide events also make it possible for couples to build a network with other like-minded people within the diocese.
Couples for Christ (CFC) is a Catholic community recognized by the Vatican as a Private International Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right. CFC strives to build the church of the home and of the poor by providing support to couples and their families in living out the vocation that God has planned for them. Since its establishment in 1981, CFC is now present in over 100 countries worldwide. CFC members receive regular formation teachings, attend fellowships, conferences and actively support various parishes in Ottawa. It is a blessing to serve God as a family. Every member receives nourishment through various ministries for kids below 12y/o, youth (12-20y/o), young single professionals (21-40y/o), and mature men and women (41 y/o and above).
We are one with the Catholic church by being active in serving our parishes and diocese. It’s our pleasure to serve alongside priests and other individuals and organizations to bring more people to Christ by being a living witness of His love. We would like to continue sharing this ministry to the families in our parish.
